ONE MAN SHOW

 

ரோம் கலாச்சாரத்தில், கழிவறைக்கென்று ஒரு கடவுள் உண்டு! அது மனிதரின் கழிவு மற்றும் விவசாயத்தில் இடைப்படுவதாக நம்பினார்கள்! 

மத்தியானவேளையிலே எலியா அவர்களைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணி: உரத்த சத்தமாய்க் கூப்பிடுங்கள்; அவன் தேவனாமே, அவன் தியானத்தில் இருப்பான்; *அல்லது அலுவலாயிருப்பான்;* அல்லது பிரயாணம் போயிருப்பான்; அல்லது தூங்கினாலும் தூங்குவான்; அவனை எழுப்பவேண்டியதாக்கும் என்றான். (1 இராஜா 18:27) - இதில் "அலுவலாயிருப்பான்" என்பது, "கழிவறைக்கு சென்றிருப்பான்.." என்று பொருள்...

எலியா விக்ரகங்களை பற்றியும் அறிந்திருந்தார்; விண்ணப்பத்திற்கு பதில் தரும் தேவனைப் பற்றியும் அறிந்திருந்தார்! ஆகவே அவரால் தெளிவாய் செயல்பட முடிந்தது. நம் தேவன் மனிதர்களைப்போல் அல்ல. அவர் காலங்களையும் யுகங்களையும் கடந்தவர். மற்ற மனிதர்களின் கலாச்சார; மற்றும் கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை அவர்களது உலக பயம் சார்ந்தது. *சர்வ வல்ல தேவனை நம்புகிற நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கை, தேவனுடைய அன்பையும், வல்லமையையும் சார்ந்தது! எதிலும் தோற்க மாட்டோம்! ஆமென்!*

*Toilet God!*

In Roman culture, there is a God for the toilet! It was believed to interfere with human waste and agriculture!

And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or *he is busy*, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened.” (1 Kings 18:27) - Here, "he is busy" means, "he may be defecating.."

Elijah knew about idols; He also knew about God who answer supplications! So he was able to act clearly. Our God is not like men. He is past times and ages. The culture and faith in God of others depends on their worldly fear. *Our faith in Almighty God depends on the love and power of God! We will not lose anything! Amen
